NEISD Schools: A Military Buyer's Guide
North East Independent School District
North East ISD (NEISD) covers much of north and northeast San Antonio, including Stone Oak, Windcrest, Hollywood Park and the neighborhoods along Loop 1604 and US-281. It is the district most Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis families end up in, because those installations sit at opposite ends of its boundary. If you are buying with a VA loan, NEISD boundaries matter more than city limits: two homes on the same street can feed different campuses.

Boundaries do not follow city lines
NEISD attendance zones cut across San Antonio, Windcrest, Hollywood Park and unincorporated Bexar County. Always verify a specific address on the district's attendance-zone lookup before you write an offer.
Two commutes from one district
The southern end of NEISD is close to JBSA-Fort Sam Houston; the northern end near Loop 1604 and US-281 is closer to JBSA-Camp Bullis. Pick the end of the district that matches your duty station, not just the district name.
